Our Teachers

Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Delek

Gen Kelsang Delek, the Resident Teacher of KMC Vancouver, is a senior Teacher in the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU). She has been a Kadampa Buddhist nun and Teacher under the guidance of her Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, for almost 30 years and has been the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Centres in Canada, Japan and the UK.

Gen Delek’s extensive experience and excellent example are well appreciated by her students. With her practical approach and clear explanations of even the most profound of Buddha’s teachings, Gen Delek inspires us to put Dharma into practice in our daily lives. We are very fortunate to be able to study and meditate with such an experienced Teacher.

Gen Delek is also the Resident Teacher of KMC Fraser Valley.

Second Teacher, Gen Kelsang Sanden 

Gen Kelsang Sanden is a senior Teacher in the New Kadampa Tradition. Well loved for his compassion, sense of humour and the clarity of his teachings, he has been a Kadampa Teacher and monk for more than 20 years.

Other Teachers

KMC Vancouver is fortunate to have inspiring and experienced practitioners who teach drop-in meditation classes, and half day and full day courses. Our teachers engage in study and train in one of our extensive Study Programs: the Teacher Training Program or the Foundation Program.

Bruno Alves

Bruno has been studying and practicing Buddhism for many years. He is a student on the Foundation Program and loves sharing the benefits of Buddhism and meditation and how practicing Buddha’s teachings can transform our life. He is a sincere and committed practitioner, known for his kind-hearted and practical approach.

Inkeri Meharg

Inkeri is a senior Kadampa teacher who has been practicing for over 20 years. She brings a wealth of practical experience of integrating Buddhist teachings with daily life. Inkeri often teaches the Learn to Meditate courses at our main Kadampa centre.

Rebecca Bond

Rebecca enjoys studying Buddha's teaching in Foundation Program, and is enthusiastic about applying Dharma to our real world conditions. She is committed to the practical applications of Dharma teachings, to both find meaning and bring benefit to ourselves and the world we live in.

Josh Baker

Josh Baker has been practising Kadampa Buddhism for more than 15 years, and often teaches meditation classes at KMC Vancouver. He is known for his kind and gentle delivery of Dharma teachings and for his faith and enthusiasm for Kadam Dharma. Josh lives in Vancouver with his wife and daughter.

Allison

Allison Earl has been studying and practicing Kadampa Buddhism for 15 years, first in Australia and now in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. She loves teaching meditation and bringing practical advice from Buddha’s teachings into our everyday busy lives. She is a mother to 3 wild and creative children. She juggles motherhood with teaching design and sustainability at UBC.

Denise

Denise is a senior Kadampa Teacher having studied in the tradition for over 21 years.  She is known for her dedication and clear explanation to help others make progress in their understanding and daily integration of Buddhist teachings and meditation practice. Denise lives on Bowen Island.
